The 10th edition of Rondônia Rural Show Internacional, the largest agricultural fair in the Northern region of Brazil, will take place from May 22nd to 27th in Ji-Paraná, the second largest city in Rondônia.
In 2023, ‘Sustainable Technologies’ are the focus of the event!
Organized by the State Department of Agriculture (Seagri) of the Governo de Rondônia, the event brings initiatives aimed at boosting the internationalization of businesses and products from the state.
In the last edition, the fair featured over 500 spaces, accommodating public and private institutions, companies, service providers, credit institutions, and cooperatives. Last year, business deals worth R$ 2.6 billion (over US$ 500 million), were conducted during the event, which attracted a public of 240,000 visitors.
Originally focused on agriculture and livestock, the fair has expanded and evolved into a multisector event, now featuring educational and research institutions, as well as representatives from various government departments.
Furthermore, the event includes an international pavilion promoted by , an entity connected to the SEDEC – Secretaria Estadual de Desenvolvimento Econômico, Rondônia’s Department of Economic Development.
Created two years ago with the goal of turning the state in a global brand, Invest Rondônia plays a fundamental role in attracting investments and increasing the diversification of exports. In this regard, Rondônia Rural Show serves as a showcase for the state of Rondônia.
Rondônia, with a population of 1.8 million people, is the third wealthiest state in the Northern region of Brazil. Its agricultural production includes, among numerous other products, milk, coffee, nuts, açaí, beef, and soybeans, with the latter two being its main exports.
In 2023, the Texan Chamber of Commerce in Brazil (Betchamber) will be present at Rondônia Rural Show Internacional!
Mr. Max Paul, President of the Betchamber, and Mr. Dirceu Paiva, Secretary General, will represent the institution and promote the panel ‘Doing Business with the USA’ on the main stage of the international pavilion on Wednesday (May 24th) at 2:00 PM.
